Belmar Park Dentistry Focused On YOU!
With 3D cone beam CT scanning, dentistry has taken a huge leap, literally adding a new dimension to assessment and planning. 2D provides limited information, but the 3-dimensional images provide all the data and diagnostic tools to evaluate a specific area. The images also provide invaluable information to the patient, making it easier to understand why a procedure needs to be done, while making patients feel more secure with their decisions.
The CBCT is integrated with implant planning tools that allow us to quickly and easily locate crucial landmarks such as nerves, verifying implant placement virtually, prior to placing the implant in the patient. We can further use these images to verify that there is nothing pathological occurring in the patients jaw such as abscesses, impacted teeth, bone loss, and various lesions. Belmar Park Dental Care is one of the few offices in the metro-Denver area with this technology right inside our practice. You can enjoy the convenience of having all your imaging needs covered in one place.
Belmar Park Dental Care is proud to offer CEREC® technology to our patients. Dr. Collins is able to restore a tooth that is decayed, weakened, broken, etc. to its natural strength and beauty – using all-ceramic materials which are tooth-colored and milled right in our office. The other benefit to our patients – this process can be accomplished without temporaries or additional visits and their treatment can be completed in a single visit.
The CEREC® process utilizes a digital optical impression to provide same day dental restorations without temporary crowns.
Health Benefits CEREC® Same-Day Dentistry Offers Our Patients:
- Uses long-lasting, natural looking porcelain/ceramic material.
- Metal-free restorations.
- Perfect for situations like chipped, worn or cracked teeth.
- Teeth can also be repaired that have decay and/or old, worn fillings.
You don’t have to go to a specialist or travel for this type of dental care. At Belmar Park Dental, we’ve invested in this patient-focused technology for you. CEREC® technology offers you quality care in less time for the dentistry you need, and the comfort and convenience you deserve.
Have you ever wondered what you would look like with a more beautiful smile? At Belmar Park Dental Care we have a software tool that allows you to see and review the benefits of cosmetic treatments before they are done. This innovative software allows us to take a digital photo of you and illustrate the various ways we can improve your teeth and enhance your smile. You’ll have a window into the new you! This wonderfully interactive method helps you envision your beautiful new smile.
Digital radiography is the latest way to take and evaluate x-rays. With digital x-rays, less radiation is needed to produce high-quality images. These images can then be evaluated on a large flat-screen monitor. This allows for easier detection of any problems. With such a large image, it is also easier for patients to see and understand what is happening with their teeth.
A picture is worth a thousand words especially in dentistry! At Belmar Park Dental Care, we use small cameras right inside your mouth to take highly magnified digital photos of your teeth. These photos can be displayed on a computer screen for both patient and doctor, and are invaluable in diagnosing and recording dental problems. They provide a window into your special care. Intra-oral photos also allow our patients to view what the dentist sees when they are evaluating your teeth.
Early cavity detection. When it comes to tooth decay, the sooner a cavity is detected, the better! In its earliest stages, a cavity can be repaired much more easily, often without the need for anesthetic. At Belmar Park Dental Care, we use a specialized laser to detect cavities in the pits and grooves of teeth long before they could be found with traditional techniques. With this state-of-the-art instrument, called DIAGNODENT, we are able to keep teeth healthy and natural with early intervention.
The applications of lasers in dentistry are wide spread and at Belmar Park Dental Care we are able to offer the benefits of laser treatment to almost all of our patients. Every hygienist and doctor are equipped with lasers that can be used for treatments such as periodontal therapy (treatment for gum disease), or for cosmetic treatments like gum recontouring. With this device there is no cause for heat or vibration in the mouth, and improves our patients’ comfort levels drastically.
This innovative treatment uses laser-energized, cool water spray to cut soft tissue without generating any heat. Lasers can also be used at a non-cutting setting to kill the bacteria that live inside the tissue and would otherwise remain unchanged. And unlike some traditional dentistry procedures, the soft tissue laser will not irreversibly damage the soft tissue or pulp underneath your teeth. Cutting-edge, effective, and reliable, the soft tissue dental laser is the solution many patients have been waiting for.
In additional to visual oral cancer examinations, we offer our patients the next step in soft tissue screening. A cutting edge technology called “Oral ID” uses a proven, optically based technology called “fluorescence technology.” Oral ID’s fluorescence technology uses a blue light (435–460 nm) that allows a clinician to identify oral cancer, pre-cancer and other abnormal lesions at an earlier stage, thus saving lives.
